2010-02-06 10:30:06 MST Scheduled Maintenance finished The Modwest Operations Team completed scheduled maintenance on the database server db.modwest.com a.k.a. db0.modwest.com at about 10:15am MDT. Thank you for your patience. 2010-02-06 00:57:50 MST Scheduled Maintenance Feb 6th 8AM On Saturday, February 6th, from 8AM until 12PM Mountain Time, the MySQL database server "db.modwest.com" will be unavailable during scheduled maintenance. Technical Info: The hardware that supports db.modwest.com needs to be retired. We will be migrating the databases to new hardware, and expect this process to take several hours. Downtime Caused Websites relying on db.modwest.com will be unavailable during the maintenance window. Websites relying on db1.modwest.com and db2.modwest.com will not be affected. You may determine which server your database is using by visiting the 'Add or Drop Database' page in the Onsite Control Panel (You must log in with your administrative username.) In case you missed our previous emails, the process and benefits of migrating to db2.modwest.com are described in the Modwest Blog: Migrate to a Faster Database Server in Minutes 2010-02-05 20:31:56 MST Load Balancer Issue - RESOLVED Engineers have resolved the problem with the load balancer and all services have been restored. 2010-02-05 19:44:27 MST Load Balancer Issue - UPDATE Engineers are still working to resolve the problem with the load balancer. You may continue to experience intermittent interruptions when connecting to your website, using ftp, connecting to the shell via ssh or checking email. 2010-02-05 18:51:56 MST Load Balancer Issue Engineers are currently diagnosing a problem with our load balancing server. The problem was detected at about 5:30PM MDT and is affecting all services on our shared system. You may see errors indicating your website, email or other services are unreachable. We are working as quickly as possible to minimize interruption to service and we will post periodic updates to this status page. 2010-01-12 10:12:01 MST SSH service restored SSH on the main web hosting system (shell.modwest.com) should be working again for everyone now. 2010-01-12 08:34:16 MST SSH service unavailable We've again encountered a situation on in which FTP works but SSH does not. We are attempting to resolve the problem now. 2010-01-11 10:34:34 MST Shell Service Restored SSH shell service has been restored. Thanks for your patience. 2010-01-11 09:07:34 MST Shell services unavailable SSH shell service is not currently available. This also affects cron scheduled tasks, and remote SVN/CVS access. We are working on the problem. The Modwest network is reachable, with no connectivity problems. Use this page to check on the current and historical status of Modwest services.
