2009-06-29 20:13:04 MDT Cron, Shell and FTP services briefly unavailable These services will be unavailable for about 15 minutes do to routine maintenance from 8:15p Mountain to 8:30p Mountain. UPDATE 1 (8:32p) -- All services are restored. 2009-06-15 18:11:03 MDT Storage Issue Causing Downtime for Websites on Shared Hosting Engineers are currently working on a storage issue causing downtime on the on the shared hosting system. UPDATE 1 (RESOLVED)-- This issue is resolved. This outage would have only affected websties. We apologize for the relative lack of updates here, the only staff available were working on the problem. 2009-06-11 12:46:05 MDT Email issue resolved E-mail authentication is working properly again. Cause: A routine software upgrade to part of our mail system caused authentication for outgoing mail requests to fail. The specific cause for the system failure has been identified and fixed. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. Thanks! 2009-06-11 12:42:23 MDT Email Authentication Issue We are currently experiencing a problem with e-mail on the shared system. This may cause shared hosting customers to be unable to send email. Engineers are working on a solution and we'll keep you updated. - WORKAROUND - For customers using mail clients such as Outlook or Thunderbird, we generally advise that they use their internet service provider (eg, DSL, Cable Provider, etc...) for their outgoing SMTP server. If you are currently using mail.modwest.com as your outgoing SMTP server (see your email client account preferences) switching to use your ISP will restore your ability to send mail. For more information see section 1a. at http://modwest.com/help/kb9-214.html . 2009-06-10 11:37:07 MDT Network Issue -- RESOLVED The upstream network's problems are repaired. We've reconnected to them and everything looks to be back to normal. 2009-06-10 09:48:10 MDT Network Issue -- UPDATE 2 The upstream network still is working on their outage. They have restored most of their services. We are not sending traffic their way until they have completed repairs. 2009-06-10 09:28:47 MDT Network Issue -- UPDATE 1 We have disabled the connection to the problematic bandwidth provider and you should have access to your services again. At 9:49am Mountain, the bandwidth provider has acknowledge an outage on their end. 2009-06-10 09:26:08 MDT Network Issue About 15 minutes ago, we received reports that some traffic coming in over one of our upstream networks may be having problems. If you are affected, you may see errors indicating your website, email or other services are unreachable. Our engineers are diagnosing the situation. The Modwest network is reachable, with no connectivity problems. Use this page to check on the current and historical status of Modwest services.
